Acceptance of digital technologies at home

"das fernlicht" analysed the acceptance and use of digital technologies at social housing. It interviewed inhabitants and experts. The study was founded by the vienna city council’s department of housing research (MA 50).


The challenges and potentials of online homeservices

The vienna city council’s department of housing research comissioned das fernlicht to conduct a survey on online homeservices, including a literature review, expert interviews, case studies and interviews with concerned parties. The emphasis was on possible categorisations of new services, suppliers and offered services, acceptance among customers as well as the evaluation of individual innovative case studies.


Future housing: concepts & projects

A survey for the vienna local government explored future trends in the area of housing. Innovative case studies served to evaluated possible realisations. This served as a basis for illustrating the challenges of future housing policy.


An overview of future studies in austria and europe

Austria’s federal ministry of transport, technology and innovation comissioned das fernlicht to analyse and portray the area of future studies in austria. This included an analysis of its basic conditions, its actors, the demand as well as possible future issues.


Healthcare - future trends and business opportunities

An international european pharmaceuticals company and a british innovation platform comissioned das fernlicht to compile report on future trends in the area of healthcare. Apart from an analysis of future trends this included an evaluation of business opportunities in this sector.


Future spaces and their constituting parameters

A comprehensive representation of future spaces and their parameters was compiled within the framework of this research project for the jubilee fund of the austrian national bank. A delphi survey assessed the future relevance of these factors and an evaluation scale was created.


Satisfaction with the quality of life in the gasometers

The aim of this study for the Viennese local government was to investigate the general satisfaction of those living in the gasometers as well as to analyse selected factors which influence it.


Future living areas

This project for the Lower Austrian State Government authorities involved demonstrating the consequences of digitalisation of the living area using selected types of settlement and target groups. Urban, semi-urban and rural areas were examined.
